WASHINGTON--Last month star rocker and Indiana resident John Mellencamp appreared with Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) in the Hoosier state. Mellencamp will be a "special guest" Saturday with Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) in Indianapolis.
Indiana votes Tuesday.

Mellancamp is a down to earth--no illusions kinda guy--unlike the Obamas.
I did not buy for ONE MINUTE the act Barack and Michelle did on MSNBC's Today Show.
NEVER forget this guy is in the bag for the big energy industry (everything except oil--and he takes LOTS of oil money--it's just bundled)--particulary the stuff we've just learned is so darn risky---(no I'm not talking nukes)--the 'bio fuels' the 'clean coal'.
The Obamas may be phonio-baloney-o's---but not John Cougar Mellancamp!
I LOVE THAT LINE IN HIS SONG, I WAS BORN IN A SMALL TOWN!
HE SAYS I LEARNED TO FEAR JESUS IN A SMALL TOWN!
JOHN MELLENCAMP IS LIKE BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN, A TRUE MUSICIAN!
INDIANA SHOULD BE PROUD OF THE COUGAR!
John Mellencamp is a consumate musician and I've had the good fortune to see his stellar performances in concert. In reply to "Hoosier," I saw both Mellencamp and Springsteen a few years ago about a month apart. In my opinion, Mellencamp's performance was more passionate even though Springsteen's concert was hyped more.
Whenever I think of great Hoosiers, the people that come to mind are John Mellencamp and Larry Bird.
