WASHINGTON—Some days I am only as good as the information I get. I wrote on yesterday’s blog and in today’s paper that the Obama campaign started a new “change” themed ad in Iowa on Wednesday, the same day as the Clinton team put her “change” ad on television in Iowa and New Hampshire. I got that Wednesday date from an Obama spokesman. David Axelrod, the top strategist for White House hopeful Sen, Barack Obama (D-Ill.) told me Thursday morning the spot started airing on Tuesday night.
The Obama campaign was not responding to the Clinton ad, Axelrod said. Perhaps Clinton is responding to the Obama message. Said Axelrod, “change has become part of her lexicon lately.”
