Jesse Jackson: To meet with Syrian Ambassador


Opening a backchannel. the Rev. Jesse Jackson is set to meet with Syria's ambassador in Washington on Thursday to talk about the swelling Midde East crisis.

Washington, DC – The Reverend Jesse Jackson, Sr. has been granted an audience with Dr. Imad Moustapha, the Syrian Ambassador to the United States. He will meet with Ambassador Moustapha at 12 noon on Thursday, July 27, 2007, at the Syrian Embassy in Washington DC.

Reverend Jackson will engage the Syrian Ambassador in a dialogue concerning the crisis gripping the Middle East, and explore ways in which Syria might play a positive role in the peace process.


Wonder how many diamonds he will bring home in his luggage this time. Oh, excuse me, I had a flashback to Liberia's Taylor and Sonny Obacha.

Go Jeese. this is what Bush should be doing but the Neo-cons surrounding him want to bomb Syria and Iran and cause a major war.Maybe the Rev. can talk some sense into them.
