from House Dems

Washington, D.C. - House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi and Congressmen Charles Rangel, George Miller, Collin Peterson and Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro will host a press conference call on Wednesday at 1 p.m. Eastern time to discuss Democrats' commitment to fight for a New Direction for America.

American families are struggling with record energy prices, rising costs of health care, college tuition, and prescription drugs; their jobs being shipped overseas, and the federal budget heaps record debt on our children. Republicans have the wrong priorities, and are putting forward issues to divide and distract. Democrats believe that America needs a new direction. Democrats will fight for the priorities of all Americans -- to create quality jobs, to reduce the cost of health care, to achieve energy independence, to educate our children.
