Grace Napolitano (D-Calif.), chair of the CHC, will be joined by members of the CHC for a press conference on Tues., May 16, 2006, at 3:00 p.m., to discuss the Senate compromise on immigration legislation and to layout the important next steps for ensuring real reform.

Mr. Gutierrez wants a larger power base of votes that why his concern for the illegals. ............. If they want to do the right thing by the US citizens why not put it to a Vote.

I think this issue is overhyped. Zzzz
People care more about
gas prices, Iraq and good paying jobs..unless you live next to the Mexican border. Why vote?
Bush can just have a "phone" vote and have the NSA tabulate it!! HELLO!

am confident the Senate will find his counsel on immigration reform every bit as invaluable as his colleagues in the House did.
