Taking a big hit

Bolingbrook coach Tony Smith knows that not having reserve guard Fallon Edwards around for the postseason is going to be a huge loss for the No. 1 Raiders, as they try to defend their Class 4A state championship. Regionals begin next week.
Last week in practice Edwards tore her anterior cruciate ligament. Smith said Edwards will have surgery on the knee next week.
"She's like a starter for us," Smith said. "She was really coming into her own."
Smith said the injury occurred when Edwards went one way on a drill "and her knee went the other."
