My alma mater netted another strong player in Lincoln-Way East's Kersten Magrum. The 6-foot forward gave Illinois a verbal committment on Thursday night, according to Griffins' coach Jim Martin. Magrum chose the Illini over Nebraska, Wisconsin and DePaul. Magrum led the Griffins in scoring last season.
