Real Madrid has signed an Argentine prospect they hope will develop into a productive member of its parent club. That's not really surprising. The fact that the budding star, Leonel Angel Coira, is a seven-year-old does raise some eyebrows. The youngster told a newspaper in Argentina that he prefers to be called Leo, after his idol-- Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi. He also revealed that he likes to set up other teammates instead of score goals himself.
Real Madrid reportedly pushed to sign Coira because Spanish League rival Atletico Madrid was also interested in the boy.
Coira will begin training on Sept. 6, according to a team spokesman.
