Michigan State defensive end Jerel Worthy has taken the heated in-state rivalry with Michigan to his left bicep in the form of an enormous tattoo that depicts a Spartan crushing a wolverine.

"It was something that I just thought up," Worthy told the Dayton Daily News. "I was thinking about getting a Spartans tattoo anyway. I threw a couple ideas up in the air and this is what we came up with."

The junior said he was with some members of the Wolverines football team when he got the work done.

"They actually thought it was pretty cool," he said.

Worthy is no stranger to throwing down the gauntlet for Big Ten rivals. In June, he did some trash-talking to Wisconsin after the transfer of quarterback Russell Wilson was announced.
