Milton Bradley, the Kanye West of baseball, flips the bird for fans

Milton Bradley, maybe you vaguely remember him bringing his unique skill set to the North Side Nine last season, is playing his part to perfection once again.

Just a few weeks ago, the explosive former Cubs outfielder equated himself with the likes of Kanye West and Ron Artest as baseball's bad boy:

"If I was a musician, I'd be Kanye West. If I was in the NBA, I'd be Ron Artest. In baseball, they've got Milton Bradley. I'm that guy. You need people like me, so you can point your finger and go, 'There goes the bad guy."

OK, Milton. What finger were you talking about pointing again?

Bradley, now blessing the Seattle Mariners with his talents, didn't waste any time getting into the controversy column this season. During a game Friday night at the Texas Rangers, also a former home for the hot-headed one, Bradley was caught on camera answering fans' taunts with a bird flip. The Dallas Morning News' Rangers Blog reports on the incident, which apparently was scrubbed from the tape-delayed broadcast.

Milton was unavailable for comment after the game and Mariner's manager Don Wakamatsu could only muster what will be the first of many "no comments" this season.

So, if you're keeping track, Bradley now has one finger flipped on the season, matching his hits through Friday night. Serendipitous.

Cubs fans, you're gonna miss the big lug this season, aren't you?

KANYE WEST HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS STORY, VERY CHEAP SHOT AGAINST MR. WEST!
MILTON BRADLEY HAS BEEN BAD, WILL CONTINUE TO BE BAD, BECAUSE HE HAS A NO CUT CONTRACT, AND NO TEAM IS WILLING TO EAT HIS CONTRACT, BUT IF FANS DON'T GO TO THE PARK, THEY WILL CUT HIM FASTER THAN YOU CAN SAY HIS NAME, MILTON BRADLEY NEEDS MENTAL HELP, THE SEASON IS VERY YOUNG, REMEMBER JIMMY PEARSALL, HE NEEDED HELP AS WELL, BUT MILTON BRADLEY IS LISTENING TO FANS, WHEN HE SHOULD BE CONCENTRATING ON PLAYING THE GAME, HE IS PLAYING A DANGEROUS GAME, GET HIM SOME HELP OR LET HIM GO!
DON'T COMPARE HIM TO KANYE WEST, VERY LOW BLOW, IN MY OPINION!

There's a reason the fans of laid back southern couldn't wait for this guy to leave town; Seattle fans will find why this guys has stayed for only a few moments in each city he's been traded. Milton Bradley has something going on and you and I don't know what that is. Neither does Milton I suspect.

Did I just see someone defending Kanye West? Kanye is just a big of a POS if not more.....not including the fact that he's a white hating racist! Regardless, Kanye and Milton are both useless clowns that should have their careers ended. Milton blamed Chicago for driving him out of town....wonder what he'll say about Seattle. The best thing that happened to the Cubs in the offseason was getting rid of him. Good riddance.

PS - You should stop listening to rap anyway....it's not even real music and it actually makes people less intelligent.

If Milton Bradley has a .900 OPS or better in Seattle, then yes, I will miss him.

How about Chicago leaves Milton the hell alone? Obviously you couldn't get off his back when he was in your colors-- now you have to follow him around and scoop up some dirt to make yourselves feel better about getting carlos-my-era-matches-my-weight-silva? How about paying attention to your god-awful franchise? The "disgrunteled cub fan" isn't a very good look.

How about he sucked claimed we called him the n-word even though he deserves it and kanye is a garbage rapper and POS who hates whites and can go die for all anyone cares

IF YOUR ANCESTORS WERE RESPONSIBLE FOR LYNCHING BLACKS, SHOULD I BLAME YOU?
THAT IS WHY KANYE WEST BEING COMPARED TO MILTON BRADLEY DOESN'T HOLD WATER, KANYE WEST DIDN'T DO ANYTHING RACIAL AGAINST TAYLOR SWIFT, HE WAS WRONG TO SNATCH THE MICROPHONE, BUT THAT WAS NOT RACIAL!
MILTON BRADLEY IS MILTON BRADLEY, AND HE NEEDS HELP!
IF I DO WRONG, PLEASE DON'T SAY MY SON IS GUILTY AS WELL!

Uhh, I believe the Kanye West move was racial you clown! He wanted Beyonce to win because she was black, and didn't think a white country girl deserved the award! Also, typical NL fans here. The season just started, Milton's finger wasn't directed towards any team, player, or umpire. It was at the opposing fans, which I appreciate as a Mariner fan.

Uhh, I believe the Kanye West move was racial you clown! He wanted Beyonce to win because she was black, and didn't think a white country girl deserved the award! Also, typical NL fans here to follow a past player around the MLB and try to justify why their team "could" have made a poor decision in releasing him. Who is your RF now? The season just started, Milton's finger wasn't directed towards any team, player, or umpire. It was at the opposing fans, which I appreciate as a Mariner fan.

For the record, it was Milton Bradley who compared himself to Kanye West. The writer was just repeating the quote. Now, whether the Chicago media is capable of moving forward and stopping the obsession with Bradley is an entirely different issue.

enough about him...he's gone...time to focus on lackluster players we currently have.

Just goes to show that some people only read what they want to read. The reason Milton Bradley is being compared to Kanye West is because Milton Bradley compared himself to Kanye. Read the article again and you will realize, that was a direct quote from Bradley, hence the quotation marks (" ").

KANYE WEST THOUGHT BEYONCE SHOULD HAVE WON, NOT BECAUSE OF HER SKIN COLOR, BUT BECAUSE OF HER TALENT, AND HE THEN SNATCHED THE MICROPHONE AND SAID WHAT HE SAID, HE WAS WRONG TO DO WHAT HE DID, BUT IT WASN'T RACIALLY MOTIVATED!
