Hall of Fame tackle Merlin Olsen dies at age of 69

Hall of Fame defensive tackle, actor and announcer Merlin Olsen has died at the age of 69, according to multiple reports.

Olsen, who spent his entire playing career with the Los Angeles Rams after playing his college ball at Utah State, was inducted into the Hall in 1982.

After retiring Olsen starred television and movies and is perhaps best know for his role on "Little House on the Prairie." In the 1980s, he teamed with Dick Enberg on NBC broadcasts of AFC football.
