Former Bears QB Rex Grossman signs with Washington Redskins

rex_grossman_neckbeard.jpgOnetime Bears fan favorite Rex Grossman will be bringing his brand of consistently inconsistent play to the Washington Redskins, according to the Washington Post.

Grossman, the Bears' first-round draft pick in 2003, spent last season as a backup with the Houston Texans, completing a total of three passes for 33 yards.

The Post reports he's signed a one-year deal with the Redskins, where he will likely back up Jason Campbell.

Despite piloting Chicago to its only Super Bowl since 1985 in 2006, he is still subject to vilification from the guy next to you in the bar anywhere from Beverly to Evanston.

His last appearance in headlines here was for the $700,000 loss he took on his Trump Tower condominium.
