Tennessee basketball players Tyler Smith, Cameron Tatum, Brian Williams and Melvin Goins were arrested Friday after a traffic stop and now face drugs and weapons charges, according to the Knoxville News-Sentinel.
Smith is a senior and the starting power forward for the 14th-ranked Volunteers and Tatum has started this season as well.
"We take these matters very seriously," UT coach Bruce Pearl said in a statement released by UT. "We are still gathering information. Once the appropriate authorities have provided us with all of the facts, we will act accordingly."
Tennessee is coming off a Thursday night win over rival Memphis.
