Los Angeles Angeles play-by-play announcer Rory Markas has died at the age of 54.

Markas has called games for the team since 2002, and was the soundtrack to the Angels' World Seires win that season.

He had returned to the booth last season after suffering a blood clot in his brain in November 2008.
