Cabrera, who was involved in a booze-fueled domestic disturbance at the tail end of last season, said he hasn't had a drink since beginning counseling.
"When you've got problems," said Cabrera, "you can't hide."
"As a ballplayer, you do something like that and you have a problem," Cabrera said. "I want to play a lot of years and right now I feel comfortable. I feel great."
The training will continue with the same doctor during spring training and the regular season.

" We are interested in connecting with your website, we are a social network for people in recovery and are looking to drive more traffic. The site is Sobriety.org and as you can see we are already on the front page of Google for "sobriety". We are running weekly AA meetings and will be following up with NA, ALANON meetings and eventually Secular ones.
We would be willing to write fresh content or whatever we can do to get the word out and link to your site. If you could let us know what our options are we would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Toby Sheldon
