Curt Schilling is a polarizing figure.
Some love him, some hate him and many wish he'd just shut his yap.
The point is, he's been called a lot of names, but certainly not a Yankee fan.
But Martha Coakley, a Massachusetts Democratic candidate for the Senate, referred to former Red Sox Curt Schilling as just that in a radio interview.
Schilling is backing Coakley's competition, Scott Brown. He loves the politik, as you might recall.
The bloody-sock enthusiast pointed out the ridiculousness over on his blog.
"I've been called a lot of things", he pens. "But never, and I mean never, could anyone ever make the mistake of calling me a Yankee fan. Well, check that, if you didn't know what the hell is going on in your own state, maybe you could."
Zing.

Yeah he has been called a lot of things - blowhard, know-it-all, pompous ass - they all fit. And may God forgive me if I'm wrong, but I will go to my grave believing that bloody sock business was as a big a crock of bull-excrement as Jesse Jackson's bloody shirt.
