The New York Jets were without Braylon Edwards today as the wide receiver made a scheduled court appearance in Cleveland.

Edwards plead not guilty to a misdemeanor assault charge back in November after being accused of punching a friend of LeBron James outside of a nightclub in October.

Two days later, he was traded to the Jets.

Edwards expected to participate in the team's preparation after his return later today.
