Brandon Marshall benched for season finale

The Denver Post reports that Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall will be benched for Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Coach Josh McDaniels said Marshall doesn't want to play because of a slight hamstring pull.

The loss of the pass-catching enthusiast will be huge for a Broncos team feverishly fighting for a playoff spot.

Marhsall's season began under a cloud of controversy with McDaniels, but he's rebounded to haul in 101 passes and 10 touchdowns on the year. He also set an NFL record with 21 receptions in a Week 14 loss to Indianapolis.
