The Situation and Snooki from 'Jersey Shore' visit Conan

It will come as no surprise to anyone brave enough to follow me on Twitter, but for some reason, I can't get enough of the "Jersey Shore" reality-television show on MTV.

And I'm not the only one.

It seems there's a whole slew of people out there coming up with their own Jersey Shore nickname. All the jibber-jabbering about fist pumping, tanning, getting drunk and fighting is good business for the show, which evidently is sending its "stars" out on the talk-show circuit.

Here is The Situation and Snooki hanging out with Conan last night. Spoiler alert: Conan was absolutely enthralled with The Situation.

So, this is where we are at as a society.

Drink it in, people.

Watch Idiocracy. It used to be a funny movie starring Luke Wilson. Now it's a true representative of where we're going as a society. The ignorant and stupid are multiplying a lot faster than those Read any blog online and 75% of the people can't spell "you're" or "lose/loser" correctly. Kids are speaking and writing in text talk. People actually take these reality stars seriously.

Every generation is afraid of the next. But this one seems to be dumber than ever.

Why does everything a person does have to be of some value or life learning? It's entertainment, simple as that. Joe Mama wants to believe that the cast in Jersey Shore is a representation of where society is going. Life is not that serious. Joe Mama also must think he or she is so superior to say "the ignorant and stupid are multiplying." To generalize an opinion like that on a whole society is ignorant. "Stupid" or "Ignorant" are relative to the situation wouldn't you say??? What if someone asked you do something you didn't know how? Oh, you don't how, STUPID! Point being, that you might be well versed or skilled in your trait but at the end of the day you don't know everything, so I guess whether it's the way some young people talk or how they act, we are all stupid in some sense.
