Brandon Jennings fined $7,500 for premature Tweet

brandon-jennings-twitter.JPGMilwaukee Bucks rookie sensation Brandon Jennings has been fined $7,500 by the NBA for a tweet he posted after his team's double-overtime victory over the Portland Trail Blazers last weekend.

His jubilant message of: "Back to 500. Yess!!! "500" means where doing good. Way to Play Hard Guys," certainly isn't controversial, but it came a little too soon after the game ended.

The NBA's social media policy states that players can't tweet until 45 minutes after the game ends. Jennings, it seems, didn't wait long enough.

This is really dumb! First of all - it's a stupid regulation.
2ndly, what is 7500 to an nba player? Is this supposed to stop him from doing it again? I'm a blazer fan, and the bucks are only and never will be more than an average team. But this was really ridiculous. I admire Jennings for his enthusiasm.

This is so dumb. After the game, u should be able to tweet what u want. 45min....for what? Brandon is a good kid and fun 2 follow. And I don't care how rich he is, 7500 is 7500. They could let them donate to a chairty or something. Not back to them. SMH.
