Washington Wizards' DeShawn Stevenson's new tattoos are the talk of the town

The first post about the upcoming NBA season.

Thank God it's about some brand new, eye-catching tattoos. The canvas provider in this case is Washington Wizards guard DeShawn Stevenson, already the author of a formidable neck beard.

Stevenson's new ink was the talk of reporters lucky enough to be at the Wizards' media day and intrepid enough to be toting their cameras.

Defenders charged with guarding Stevenson will now get to spend 48 minutes admiring Abraham Lincoln's mug, which is front and center on his neck. It stands to reason that a scruffy fellow like DeShawn would opt to sport one of America's most prolific beards on his person, but that placement sure seems like it'd be painful.
In addition, they can look at a backwards Pittsburgh Pirates logo on his left cheek.

This one is a bit confusing.

On his left cheek bone is inked the Pitsburgh Pirate's 'P', "for the Pittsburgh, that's my favorite team. Barry Bonds, when he first started." The thing about the P is, however, that it's backwards and looks more like a 9. DeShawn tried to explain, "No, if you're standing where Dom's standing and looking at me, it looks like a P." Dominic McGuire was standing directly in front of him about 10 yards away, but it still looked like a 9. I think DeShawn meant to say, "when I look in the mirror it looks like a P." The final new tat is a crack on the left side of Stevenson's forehead. He said it's because "I don't crack. I feel like people always try to break me, but I don't crack. So, I put that there."

Finally, taller defenders will be at eye level with a Frankenstein-like crack running from his hairline down his forehead. Stevenson says he never cracks.

He said it's because "I don't crack. I feel like people always try to break me, but I don't crack. So, I put that there."
