Kyle Busch will smash a guitar if he wants to

NASCAR driver Kyle Busch showed how to celebrate a big victory last night at Nashville Superspeedway. After triumphing in a Nationwide Series race, Busch tried to smash a custom-painted Les Paul guitar.

The following video shows why the driver races cars for a living. His guitar-smashing skills do not rock very hard.

Busch had previously said he'd celebrate this way if he ever won in Nashville.
You may be wondering what the guy who poured his heart and soul into painting this trophy thought about the destruction.

Surprisingly enough, he didn't seem to care.

"I'll be honest with you, I was stunned when it happened," Bass said. "But when I went to Victory Lane to take a picture with Kyle, he said there was no disrespect to me, the speedway or the sponsors. He just said he was going to give each one of his guys a piece of the trophy. In the spirit of rock and roll and, as someone who appreciates rock and roll, he put on a show."

Please don't judge what NASCAR is all about from the behavior of Busch. NASCAR fans are outraged too.

My family and I have tried hard to like Klye.He is very talanted driver. I work with under privilge kids in the music industry. That guitar represented alot of dreams and now a dislike for Klye. Grow-up Kyle

My family and I were really emotionally shifted by Kyle's act of expression. My youngest son was so excited we had to give him an extra shot of hemoglobin.

Dear Kyle, saw your actions after the race. Congrats on the win,NOW STAY OUT OF NASHVILLE, you AND your sponsors! Grow up dufus!

Why?!!!!!!!!!!!!! What was he thinking?!!! GROW UP KYLE!!!!!

No wonder you cant get a cup race, you people whine too much. It was his to do with as he wants, its not yours.

He shared it with his crew as he wanted, he didnt take anything away from your under privileged kids. How does his trophy represent a dream in the music industry. Maybe you need to spend a little more time in raising funds, and what is really surprising is that I would bet my next paycheck that if someone submitted a request to one of the many foundations that Kyle supports/sponsors would happily assist your kids.

Kyle has done nothing to any of you. He has brought nothing but raw talent, excitement and genuine love for what he does to the track every race. He is a competitor pure and simple, He does his job, and he does it better then most.

please tell me you really have something real to be upset about.

so, all those folks hootin' & hollerin' while all the guitar-smashin' was goin' down weren't NASCAR fans ?

Kyle Busch had every right in the world to smash that trophy, he said before the race that if he won he would do this and give every crew member a piece of it. Now, i am guessing that everyone that is mad are Dale Jr. fans. Mabe, mabe not, but I think you are just tired of seeing Kyle kick Jr's but in every race. And it is you guys that need to grow up and see that JR. SUCKS!!!!

Oh yeah, and if you go to Nashville Speedway's web site and look no one is mad except you guys, not even Sam Bass the guy who painted the guitar!

So whats next? Are you guys mad because he blew out his rear tires during his victory celebration? Is that a disrespect to Goodyear? Oh thats right they can't build a decent tire anyway!!!!

Well, lets see, Goodyear provides the drivers with multiple tires every race.

This is a one-of-a-kind piece of art that's irreplaceable.

Yeah, GOOD attempt at equating the two, moron.

Dumbest comment ever in the history of the internet.

I am beginning to loathe this man.
His mockery of the sport and fans is neither clever or cute.
Just because he is an extraordinary talent doesn't mean he has permission to flip us off and smash the guitar trophy that almost anyone BUT him would be awed to receive.
This guy has just plucked my LAST nerve.

That was not very nice, he has more money than brains he should have had a guitar mad for each of his crew, he is a PUNK!!!

The guitar smashing was a thoughtless, arrogant action in my opinion. I remember buying my son a Les Paul many years ago, a used one, and how proud he was in playing the beautiful instrument.

If this driver is trying to make a statement or be cool, he accomplished this in former. He is obviously immature, but cool he is not.

This driver accomplished one thing. He did make a statement, that being he is "IMMATURE". But trying to be COOL failed, as he surely is not. I won't stereotype any other drivers over his smashing a Gibson, and he is not in same league with majority of drivers anyway in my opinion.

Fianlly, a victory lane celebration worth watching. Thanks Kyle for making Nascar fun to watch again!

look to the man whom threw his gold medal in the river and refuse induction into the army and how he was looked upon when all of this was going down. now after all these years, look how he is looked upon. it was his medal and his conviction. i admired the man and i served my country from 66-69 so that should tell you something. judge lest be judged.

For those who believe he can do what he wants: NOT! If he wanted to take that guitar and smash it in the privacy of his living room, that's one thing, but to do it in front of a public audience is a disgrace. Shame on Kyle. He has risen to a position where he is expected to be a role model, but that does not mean he has earned any right to be rude, disrespectful or demonstrate very poor judgement.

If anyone ever handed me a guitar as ugly as that one, I'd smash it too!

Kyle was just expressing his emotions for for the victory. He and his whole team put blood, sweat and tears in to winning and this was just his unique way of expressing it. The guitar is just a material thing. We as people have become to materialistic. The emotion behind what he did and the willingness to share it with his team should mean more than the guitar itself.
