"Rex will be playing in the NFL this season," Rosenhaus said in a text message today. "We have not considered any other leagues. He will be on a NFL roster by the start of training camps."
A report surfaced on uflaccess.com Sunday citing a Las Vegas TV station that reported Grossman and former Texas Tech quarterback Graham Harrell were among the players who would be attending a UFL "pro day."
UFL spokeswoman Rachel Gary said teams in the newly formed league will be holding "invitation-only private workouts" in the coming weeks, but declined to offer specific names.
"I can't confirm who's going to be in attendance because it's still being formulated," said Gary.
Jim Fassel (Las Vegas), Dennis Green (San Francisco), Jim Haslett (Orlando) and Ted Cottrell (New York) have been announced as coaches for the league's inaugural season, which is set to kick off in October.
