craps-record.jpgIn one of the most obvious examples of beginner's luck, a New Jersey woman set a new record for longest craps roll in Atlantic City Saturday night.

Patricia Demauro hung on to the dice for four hours and 18 minutes, shattering the previous record by one hour and 12 minutes.

As a cheering mass grew, Demauro kept Lady Luck on her side despite not having much experience.

"This was only my second time playing craps, so this was very exciting for me to be a part of history," says Demauro, who lives in Denville in northern New Jersey.
