cristal-taylor.jpgThe bizarre situation surrounding Dallas Mavericks big man Dirk Nowitzki continues to get more fantastic.

Records obtained by the Dallas Morning News show Cristal Taylor, Nowitzki's ex-fiancee, is pregnant. Taylor and a lawyer representing the Mavericks star had been embroiled in a war of words of over the validity of pregnancy claims for the last week.

Officials at the Dallas County Jail and Parkland Memorial Hospital provided the document Tuesday afternoon. The record showed that Taylor was administered a pregnancy test and that the result was positive. Pregnancy tests do not determine paternity. Taylor has told The News that she and Nowitzki were engaged and that he is the only man with whom she has had sex in the last seven years.

"I can't wait until you get those results," she told a News reporter Friday. "I know they won't lie. Can you hurry up and get them?

Taylor is currently in a correctional facility facing a 2006 theft-of-service charge and has more than a decade-long history of financial crimes including felony theft, felony forgery and felony stealing.

Despite all the sensational circumstances surrounding this situation, Taylor had this to say when she signed the release forms for her medical records to be made public.

I'm angry, but I do love Dirk with all my heart," she said. "And I want you to know, he still hasn't told me we're no longer engaged."
