I am going through the same thing now. My family, doctors and I are very optimistic. Get the best medical care out there, this kind of cancer is curable. I'm sure she will be fine.
I will keep Amy in my prayers as she undertakes cancer treatments I will also pray that Phil and the girls will be given the strength and courage to support Amy.
May God Bless you all.
Dear Amy,
I have a wonderful little daily book to send to you to read. It is a beautiful spiritual daily word.
Where can I send it too?
God is a beautiful God and I know with all my heart he will heal you.
Last week I learned I had to have a knee replacement and my heart was crushed with this news. My Sunday School came and prayed for me and the fear has somewhat left me.
I will pray for you daily and pray that this is only the beginning of a new life for you.
I want to thank Phil for taking time off the golf course and standing firmly by your side.
My respect for him only makes him be an icon on the golf course.
I hope to hear from you and where I can send the book..

I was driving to work yesterday when on the radio the DJ was talking about the Open and mentioned Phil has announced 3 weeks ago Amy has been diagnosed with breast cancer. I’m not a person that would normally write to anyone but with this news I felt compelled to send this message. At 47 I was diagnosed with this dreaded disease so I know how these words can be so devastating. I just want to say, that was almost six years ago. What got me through those tough times was knowing this disease can be cured and the support and prayers from all my friends and family. I truly think a positive attitude and mind set got me though the tough spots and the love and devotion from my husband. I went to work everyday so I could be around the support of my co-workers and put my faith into my Doctors. My prayers go to you, and your family and wish you a quick recovery. You too will look back in years and know what a big hurtle you’ve overcame. I will keep you in my prayers.

Dear Amy and Phil,
In November of 1984 I was diag. with Cervical Ca. and went through the recommended surgery. I was 34 years old. 4 months later, I noticed a lump in my left breast. I checked it every 2 weeks to see if it would go away and it did not. My general surgeon did the lumpectomy and sent it to path. and they did the frozen section and it came back positive. The lump was 2 1/2 cent.in size. I was a scrub nurse at the the time. Of all the Hospitals as an option, Baylor,Mayo etc. The Oncologist I chose to go to is Ralph Reymond M.D. At St.Frances Hospital in Topeka,Kansas. He had interned at Johns Hopkins Hospital specializing in Cancer Treatment and studied under the "father of interstitial Radiotherapy" in Paris France, Dr Reymond is Swedish. I did not have Chemotheapy because I had already had ca. once and it could be a 2 edge sward. I had 28 colbalt treatments and 10 Linear treatments to the tumor bed. I didn't have a mastectomy because if my cancer ever returned, there's a chance it would be in the chest wall and the stats were equal on the survival rate between a lumpectomy with radiotheapy or a mastectomy.
That was 24 years ago and I have been Cancer free since. I chose to help give pep talks to other woman diag. with breast Ca.afterwards and every time I walked out their front door, I realized I had given myself a pep talk as well. Say your prayers every night and stay positive.
You'll be fine!

Dear Amy,
My wife had a lump on her left breast and feared that it was a breast cancer. She found on the internet that Baking Soda will and can heal breast cancer. She immediately took it orally by mixing it with water and after 2 weeks or so the lump had gone.
HI PHIL AND AMY,
MY NAME IS BILL "CHICK"CHILTON I'M 74 AND A FATHER OF TWO (2) DAUGHTERS AND A SON AND
SEVEN (7) GRANDKIDS. I"M ONE OF YOUR BEST FANS AND I LOVE GOLF. I WORK AT A GOLF COURSE , BUILD GOLF CLUBS, COLLECT GOLFBALLS AND GOLF HATS,AND PLAY GOLF 3 TO 4
TIMES A WEEK. ITS GOD, FAMILY AND GOLF, BUT GOLF ISN'T WHY I'M WRITING THIS NOTE TO YOU. MY OLDEST DAUGHTER (53) COLLEEN HAS BEEN THRU THIS CANCER THING THREE (3) TIMES. THE FIRST TIME APPROX. 7 YEARS AGO, WAS BREAST CANCER. SHE HAD A LUMPECTOMY, FIRST STAGE CANCER, AND SHE'S DOING FINE WITH THAT. THE SECOND TIME WAS THYROID CANCER AND SHE HAD IT REMOVED AND TREATED WITH RADIATION. NEXT CAME ALONG UTERINE CANCER, (ABOUT SIX MONTHS AGO) AND SHE HAD A COMPLETE HYSTERECTOMY FOLLOWED AGAIN BY RADIATION TREATMENT. THEY SAY SHE IS CLEAR OF CANCER AND DOING WELL, BUT THE HARDEST PART IS THE MENTAL ACCEPTANCE OF THE SITUATION. HOWEVER WITH FAMILY PRAYERS AND SUPPORT SHE IS DOING WELL. NOONE KNOWS WHAT THE FUTURE WILL BRING HER, AND WE PRAY NO MORE CANCER. BUT THIS IS AN EXAMPLE FOR YOUR WIFE TO KNOW THAT THESE THINGS CAN BE OVERCOME AND IF THERE IS ANY NEED FOR CONVERSATION AT ANY TIME, WITH OUR DAUGHTER, SHE WOULD BE HAPPY TO OFFER SUPPORT TO HER. THERE IS ALWAYS STRENGTH IN NUMBERS.
ALSO I JUST HAD PROSTATE CANCER TWO YEARS AGO AND HAD SEEDING DONE, AND I AM DOING FINE. SO THERE IS ALWAYS HOPE. CANCER TREATMENT HAS COME A LONG WAY.
IN CLOSING I WOULD LIKE TO SAY YOUR GREAT GOLF CAREER IS ONLY EXCEEDED BY YOU AS A PERSON. SO OUR PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU, AMY AND YOUR FAMILY FOR CONTINUED GOOD HEALTH AND HAPPINESS. PEACE BE WITH YOU ALL. GOD BLESS
BILL CHILTON
As a 4 year survivor of breast cancer, I know exactly what you are feeling. The diagnosis is devastating. The hardest part for me was telling my family. My husband, children, family and friends were so supportive. Keep a positive attitude and most of all keep the faith. It will be a difficult few months but after all the treatments you will feel great. I appreciate each day and live each day to the fullest. I look forward to seeing you and the children greeting Phil when he wins his next tournament. I will keep you all in my prayers.
This comment is for Teieka Kaoma who claims his wife was "cured" of breast cancer by ingesting baking soda. I don't know what your motive is but spreading a total insensitive lie like this is an insult to those who have been devastated by a breast cancer diagnosis. You should be ashamed of yourself. The intelligent people who have viewed your comment on this website will most certainly ignore your medical "advice".
As for Amy, my thoughts and prayers are with her. I am a 2-1/2 year survivor of this disease. The main things that got me through diagnosis and treatment (and what continues to help me through each day since)are the love and support of my family and a strong faith in God.
LASE MED INC moved from Little Rock to Oklahoma because the University in Arkansas found DR. Carpenters L.E.I.S.H to be a waste of the Universities time. Also there are malpractice lawsuits against LASE MED INC from the Little Rock Office. Another interesting note is that DR. Carpenter is correct about NASA’s research on fighting cancer with laser, but NASA didn't test LASE MED INC L.E.I.S.H laser in their testing. L.I.E.S.H. from LASEMEDINC is not FDA approved.
