Cheyenne Woods -- Tiger's niece -- thriving at Wake Forest

30406342H10618475.JPG As long as she's in the public eye, the name Cheyenne Woods may never be uttered without mention of her famous uncle.

Not only does she mildly resemble golf behemoth Tiger Woods (as evidenced in the above photo), she's also got game. Golfweek currently ranks the Wake Forest freshman at No. 107 in the country.
Woods was recently the subject of an NPR profile. The way it sounds, she not only has what it takes to excel on the greens, but also has the support necessary to carry the burden of being golf royalty.

Leoneda Inge reports for NPR:

"Dianne Dailey, the women's golf coach at Wake Forest, has tried to keep Woods focused, protecting her from an excess of media attention and from those who may be overly fascinated with her lineage.

"Dailey says of Woods, 'She's one of the most coachable kids I've ever had, and she picks things up very quickly. So if you're teaching her something, you only have to tell her once or twice ... and she goes with it.'"

If her coach is looking to avoid an excess of media coverage, it may be too late -- way too late, in fact. Woods was profiled by ESPN The Magazine about a year ago. USA Today reported the mere fact that she had started her freshman year of college.

Woods was also an EA Sports All-American at Xavier College Preparatory High School in Phoenix, where she was crowned state champion:
