Not to scale: Giant white horse to be built in English countryside

white horse.jpgI don't know about all of you, but there have been so many times in my life where I've been thoughtfully surveying a field or open pasture of some kind and thought to myself, "This is nice, but it would be so much better if there were a 50-meter tall statue of a white horse right over there."

Finally, this desire is being addressed.

The good people of England have decided to build one in the countryside area of Ebbsfleet Valley, set to be a new stop on the Eurostar London-to-Paris rail link.

It seems a little ostentatious, doesn't it?
