Krispy Kreme Challenge involves running, eating doughnuts

krispykreme.jpgIf there's one thing that sounds like a good idea, it's combining the very enjoyable acts of running and scarfing down doughnuts. I mean, what could possibly go wrong?

That's the idea behind the Fifth Annual Krispy Kreme Challenge taking place in Raleigh, N.C. today.

"Participants begin by running a two-mile race, with stacks of Krispy Kreme donuts awaiting them at the end. After eating a dozen donuts, participants race the two-mile trail again, back to their starting point. The key is to finish the challenge in under an hour, not get sick in the process and raise as much funding as possible for the hospital in Chapel Hill.
My stomach hurts just thinking about this, but kudos to the good people of North Carolina on finding an innovative way to raise money for a good cause.
