Matthew Stafford seems resigned to his fate as the next quarterback of the Detroit Lions. The heralded Georgia signal-caller is expected to declare for the NFL draft on Wednesday. His backfield partner Knowshon Moreno is also expected to enter the draft.

Stafford, a junior, threw for 3,459 yards and 25 touchdown passes this season -- leading many in the know to believe he will be the first overall selection.

That means he'd be Detroit's newest Lion.
