manny.jpgSt. Louis Cardinals first baseman and Triple Crown enthusiast Albert Pujols has gone public with his desires to have high-priced free agent Manny Ramirez join him in the Heartland.

Pujols told reporters that he speaks to Ramirez "every third day" and can't understand how a player of his talent has not inked an offseason deal. He also took it upon himself to pass Ramirez's number to Cardinals manager Tony LaRussa.

ehiiii....I think that, its a good idea having manny batting behind alber pujol, it will be like the dead hot line up manny ramirez 24 and david ortiz 34....

midwest manny??? dont count on it. besides, the dewitts are never going to sit down with boras. it was a nice dream though albert.

although i don't want manny bringing his issues to the cardinals, i think pujols would command his respect, so i can see them squaring off the cards for a good season at some point.

It is time that everyone for there commitments. Manny walked out on the Red Sox after they rightfully said they would not discuss his option during the season, Manny then dogged it (as proven by his LA performance). Make an example of him and drop him from baseball... What is wrong with everyone - what happen to to integrity!

Manny Ramirez is a snotty prima donna. He did the Red Sox wrong. I sincerely hope all the responsible teams in the majors put him out where he beloongs---watching from the stands---in NYC.

that 1,2 punch would be the best ever. greater than ruth and gehrig, manny ortiz. they are the 2 best hitters by far in the game today, and that i have seen ever.

yeah manny has a better chance of coming back to cleveland lol

Sounds nice...won't happen..Manny will be signing with the only team that wants him, the Dodgers...which happens to be the only place he will fit in...give it up Boras...your trickery won't work this year!
GO DODGERS!!!!

listen ppl, what happened in boston was just business. he really wanted out of boston and they were holding off so he did what he had to do to get out. then he came to LA and did what everyone knows he capable of doing. Manny right now is the second best hitter in game, behind Pujols so i do agree with chris here the they would be the nasty combo. But Manny has to stop acting like the greedy baby. He may be one of the greatest hitter to ever play this game but it is what it is. he's already in the HOF has a ring. he's not going to get a long term contract so just take ur 20+ million that he is going to get cause he is worth it a live to play another season.

I think Manny will probrably end up signing with the Red Sox....LOL

I think he will be a good add on to the Cardinals offense, but Tony LaRussa would not have some one like Manny Ramirez in the St. Louis Roster. His attitude would not go well with LaRussa's style of handling everything. Plus the Cardinals already have people fighting for outfield spots and Manny can't even play defense, but either can Duncan.
