NBA All-Star fashion: This weekend is the Oscars red carpet for NBA players

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

OK, I'm excited for the NBA All-Star game festivities this weekend. Not necessarily for the dunk contest (though I did like when Gerald Green blew out the candle on a cupcake a few years ago), but because NBA players like Dwyane Wade and LeBron James use this weekend to make big fashion statements.

It's like the Red Carpet Oscar Special, minus Billy Bush.

So keep your eyes peeled this weekend. Festivities kick off at 6 p.m. tonight with the All-Star Celebrity Game on ESPN, followed by the Rookie Challenge at 8 p.m. on TNT.

Here are a few of my favorite portraits from the weekend so far (go to for more). Let me know what you think!

Every blazer should come with its own hoodie. Here's Miami Heat's Dwyane Wade living up to his stylish reputation in a fantastic suit. Though I'm not sure about the Kanye glasses.

Bulls guard Derrick Rose is simple but still adorable in a military-style black button-down shirt and black pants.

Oklahoma City Thunder guard James Harden. Loving the contrast between the black tailored military-style trench and the pastel button-down.

Milwaukee Bucks guard Brandon Jennings is a little more casual than the others in a checkered gas station attendant-inspired button-down.
