You seem to like when I post photos of celebrities on the red carpet. To hell with shopping news! You want to see sparkles and shiny teeth!
This week celebrities came out for the film premieres of Francis Ford Coppola's new film "Tetro," the new comedy "The Hangover," which opens tomorrow, and the romantic comedy "The Proposal." Also, the new Showtime series "Nurse Jackie" had a nice little party in New York, complete with a hunky blond vampire on the red carpet. But I'll get to that in a minute.
Here's a quick sampling of red carpet looks, with a few after-party photos thrown in for good measure. As we saw on the red carpets at the Cannes Film Festival last month, black continues to be a favorite right now (six of the actress below wear the color nearly head to toe). As always, let me know what you think of the fashion -- who you like, and you don't!:
Sofia Coppola, here at her father's premiere of "Tetro" in L.A. Wednesday, is on my girl-crush list, mostly since I'm such a huge "Lost in Translation" fan. But I've wondered why Sofia is considered such a fashion diva. She always makes the best-dressed lists, yet she usually just wears all black. I'm not sure if I get it. Thoughts?
Zac Efron rocks the half-tucked-in look at Tuesday's premiere of "The Hangover" in L.A. I actually think it looks pretty cool, but it makes me laugh to think about the moment when someone, standing in front of the mirror, makes the decision to tuck in only half. "Should I do it? I don't know, maybe. But if so, which side stays out...?"
You show the arms, I'll show the legs: The Olsen twins wore different looks to go see "The Hangover." Ashley (left) is sleek and beautiful in a black gown; Mary Kate rocks her John Lennon sunglasses with a blazer and short dress. But look at Mary Kate's sling-back striped shoes! I'm a fan.
Reality TV stars Kendra Wilkinson (of "Kendra" on E!) and Audrina Patridge are all smiles at the "Hangover" after party. Wilkinson, who just recently left the Playboy mansion, is sort of a real-life version of Anna Faris' character in "House Bunny." Her new show follows her around as does things for the first time, like grocery shop.
"Hangover" star Heather Graham, sexy in a corset-style red dress, chats with Eva Mendes at the after party. I just saw Mendes looking very hot in the very awful film "The Spirit." No. Good.
No longer hiding their off-camera relationship, "Entourage" stars Jerry Ferrara and Jamie-Lynn Sigler cuddle up at the "Hangover" after party.
A beautiful Edie Falco (right) poses at the premiere of her new Showtime series "Nurse Jackie" with Eve Best (left) and Anna Deavere Smith Tuesday in New York.
I propose these two stars should have looked harder for a different movie, because this one looks awful. That being said, Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock looked sensational at the premiere of "The Proposal" Monday in L.A.
