Asinamali in Evanston offers young adult brands such as Kensie at reasonable prices -- most merchandise runs between $20 and $200.

Apparently they're trying to purge their merchandise at Asinamali, 1722 Sherman, and Coucou, 1716 Sherman in Evanston, because all winter clothing is 50 to 70 percent off both stores. Michelle Obama looked sexy, stunning and statuesque in a custom-made one-shoulder Jason Wu creation. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Wu reported his evening wear typically sells for $3,000 to $6,000., an New York-based online dress website that offers "fashion for the people," is selling a similar dress for only $320 in sizes 0 to 12. You can pre-order the dress now but it won't ship until March 15.

Shoppers score big savings at last year's Stacked Rack sale.

Sales runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, January 24 and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, January 25 at a temporary warehouse space, 1552 N. Milkwauke (second floor).

Chicago designers at the event include Sohia Reyes, Heroine-Chic, Blake Standard, Eskell and Constance Marie Jewelry.

Other designers include Diane Von Furstenberg, Alice & Olivia, J Brand, Rachel Pally, Maya Knitwear and more. Men's designers include Hyden Yoo, James Perse, Howe, Salvage and more.

Aroma Group Final.jpg

Verikira Naturals, a company that offers skincare and aromatherapy formulas made with natural and organic ingredients, essential oils, vitamins, minterals and extracts (from flowers, herbs, fruits, leaves and roots), just launched a new Aromatherapy Collection that sounds pretty cool. The collection -- created to restore, relax and refresh us -- includes Aroma Home & Body Mists, 100 percent Soy Candles and Natural Reed Diffusers in two scents, Earthen and Lavender.

All products at Here's a little bit more about each product:

Stock up on next year's holiday decorations with these two sales you should know about:

-- Material Possessions Semi-Annual Sale: All holiday items will be 50 percent off. In addition, non-holiday items (home decor, accessories, jewelry and more) will be on sale for 20 to 50 percent off. This spot (shown in photo at left) is a favorite shopping destination of Matt Lorenz (winner of Season 1 of Bravo's Top Design) and Nate Berkus. Sale going on until Jan. 18 at both locations: 704 N. Wabash in Chicago and 954 Green Bay Road in Winnetka. Enjoy!

-- Get 50 to 75 percent off all holiday items at Equinox, 3401 N. Broadway: I love this store. The entire back room is filled with gorgeous holiday ornaments, trees, knick knacks, cards, wrapping paper, books and more, all 50 to 75 percent off. (I'll be heading back to get a few ornaments for my mother's Feliz Navidad tree. Other glass ornaments include the Hancock building and Chicago Theatre.)

Many of us go through Pottery Barn phases in our lifetime. I'm currently on a Room & Board kick myself, but these deals almost have me breaking out my credit card. Here are several highlights (sale is both in stores and online):

Chainlink Vinyl Shower Curtain, $4.99 (originally $19).

At left: Signature Bootcut by Hudson, $176; At right: Alex 5 Pocket Skinny by Hudson, $165.

So yeah, denim at Veruca Salt, 1921 N. Damen, is expensive. So this post is for those who don't mind spending more than a $100 on a pair of great-fitting jeans. (For me, it depends on whether or not I have a few extra dollars to burn. Every once in awhile I'll break $100 if the pair makes me look hotter than any other pair ever has... Otherwise I'll stick to my $40 H&M skinny jeans.)

From now until Saturday, January 10, if you buy one pair of regularly priced jeans, you'll second pair half off. Let me know if you decide to splurge and get the pairs!
