Lollapalooza adds the Yeah Yeah Yeahs to fill Beastie Boys gap

mca.jpgYesterday, the sad news that MCA, aka Adam Yauch, of the Beastie Boys is battling cancer. It's treatable, but will force the Beaties to curb their current tour, including the headlining stint at Chicago's Lollapalooza in August.

What's a multi-day megafest to do?

Signing the Yeah Yeah Yeahs as a sub ain't a bad move. The New York-based indie band, featuring lead singer Karen O, drummer Brian Chase, and guitarist Nick Zinner, is touring in support of its third studio album, "It's Blitz!"

So, to recap, MCA should be OK and we get the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Not terrible news, all things considered.
