Ebertfest photoblog: Day 4

| | Comments (7)

The one complaint I heard the most about Ebertfest this year is that it's too much and too short. Is that a contradiction? Very well, Ebertfest contains contradictions. For now, I'm posting photos. Some concluding thoughts coming soon...

"Barfly" director Barbet Schroeder and Sunset Gun blogger Kim Morgan discuss Bukowski and Hollywood.

Matt Zoller Seitz subtly assumes the personality of Mickey Rourke's character, on stage after "Barfly."

"Trucker" director James Mottern and star Michelle Monaghan are already working on another project together.

Oh, I wanna be there.

I actually read the Sunset Blog thing. Now I feel special.

I think I could have endured another day or so of films. Especially when the alternative is what I'm doing now, commenting on ebertfest while sitting at my cubicle. In the unforgettable words of En Vogue, "Back to life. Back to reality."

I don't know much about Christy Lemire, but any woman sporting a Hartford Whalers shirt is OK in my book.

She's the best.

It looks like everybody is having such a great time -specially Michael Mirasol and you, Jim.

Mr. Bordwell's pose is slightly academic, I'd say.

Couldn't you turn Charlie Kaufman's attention away from his sandwich for 1/3 seconds?

Soul II Soul, not En Vogue.

Whoa, whoa, Victor. I was there. Charlie was lucky to have 1/3 second to bite his sandwich. Eeeeeverybody was talking to Charlie. I thought he put up with it like a weary champ.
