Aboot Toronto

As a Canadian (and Torontonian), I'm offended by the title of this post. It's an American myth that Canadians pronouce about "aboot".

Now if you doon't cut oot these national slurs, I may have to stoop cooming to this site.

After two years of getting all my tickets in the out-of-town lottery, I got most royally and thoroughly hosed by those hosers in Toronto. I missed out on a full third of the titles I wanted, including the three I most wanted!!! However, I think I have hope that I can get to see at least two of them at later showings. It's not an auspicious start to TIFF 2008, but I still can't wait.

What I've bean wondering is if this means you call Godard's movie "A Bowt de Souffle". I thought not. Now don't make me come up there agayn.
