Fantastic. That column may have been the thing I missed most from the site besides his reviews.
Huzzah! I've been waiting and waiting for Movie Answer Man to come back.
"Would I want to see a rock-horror-exploitation-musical with a character based on me? Yes."
Priceless.
This is wonderful news!
Slowly but surely, normalcy returns to the world.
The first new Answer Man column in nearly a year is definitely a reason to celebrate. I also can't wait for him to resume his Great Movies columns, as it has inspired me to check out several films I might otherwise have missed, but now consider among my favorites(such as "Stroszek" "The Night of the Hunter" "The Marriage of Maria Braun" and "Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia", among others). Guess I'll just have to be patient!
That was the funniest thing I've read in a while.
Words are a wonderful thing to have and to use, an amazing form of communication and Roger Ebert knows how to use them almost better than anyone else. A breath of fresh air. I'll be back to my old habit of looking in every other Thursday night just after midnight to see how he decides to use his chosen words.
Is the Answer Man column now moved to Fridays, or is that just until he gets back to his usual schedule of alternating between it and The Great Movies? Or is it just all up in the air right now.
JE: Answer Man will be on Fridays (every week!) now, and Great Movies every other Sunday. The Sun-Times just launched a new weekly movie section on Fridays and Answer Man will be part of that. So, we get more Answer Man!
