What bloggers are saying about the R. Kelly trial: Thursday
Any attorney or journalist who regularly covers the courts will tell you that predicting what verdict a jury will reach is a mug's game. When the trial hasn't even started, it's an even more foolish proposition.
That said, there's a reason why the attorneys for both sides have spent the best part of a week arguing about who gets to sit on the jury, rejecting, one way or another, 56 potential jurors along the way.
It's the same reason Lee Meihls, the jury selection expert who helped Michael Jackson beat his child molestation case, is earning big bucks advising Kelly's defense team.
But Blender magazine thinks the jury doesn't look good for Kelly.
Constitutional scholar Gossip blogger Perez Hilton also thinks things didn't go too well today for Kelly, and he's concerned that Kelly gets a fair trial.
The folks at Gawker (based in New York) think Chicago is "full of weasels, crazy people, and child porn supporters," so they'll probably be thrilled to learn that a jury has finally been approved.
Closer to home, Southsider Gregory Tejeda thinks he's one of the few people in town who care more about the Rezko trial than the Kelly trial.
Finally, R. Kelly famously sang, "I Believe I Can Fly." But this guy has gone one better.

If the girl weren’t an adolescent Mr. Kelly would not be in this predicament. These so-called mega stars think that their money allows them to do whatever they want. I will be looking for Mr. Kelly's picture on the states sex offender web site.
