Tony Rezko had frequent -- but brief -- conversations with a number of top Illinois players and political insiders between 2003 and 2004.
FBI Agent Charles Willenborg said he examined Tony Rezko's phone records and compared them with various individuals mentioned previously in the trial.
It is an attempt by the government to establish relationships and support previous timeline evidence. Many of the calls were less than one minute and even more took fewer than five minutes, Willenborg said.
Charts detailing the number and length of calls will be released later.
Willenborg traced calls between Rezko and the following individuals:
Chris Kelly (fellow governor fund-raiser)
Stuart Levine (sat on two boards)
William Cellini (GOP power broker who did deals with Teachers' Retirement System
Thomas Beck (Chairman of the health planning board)
Edmund Kelly (Beck's cousin who wanted state deal)
Alonzo Monk (Gov. Blagojevich aide)
