Former Metra chair Jeff Ladd testifies Rezko held power

Jeff Ladd, lawyer for health care facilities wanting new hospitals, said when he wanted hospital projects approved he decided to talk to Tony Rezko.
"I learned that the majority of that board -- five people -- had been recommended by Mr. Rezko," Ladd testified.
But the proposals Ladd backed were shot down and a competitor won the bid.
Ladd said his friend, board chairman Thomas Beck, told him the night before it would happen.
"I was stunned," Ladd said.

Ladd continues cross examination on Monday. The trial has ended for the day.
