Stuart Levine, star witness in the Tony Rezko trial, sounds somewhat panicked at times in a recorded conversation with a businessman.
Levine repeatedly tells Sheldon Pekin he has to clear up a misunderstanding with Rezko associate Joseph Aramanda. Aramanda was miffed by a Pekin comment about Christmas coming early for him. He was referring to a "finder's fee," something prosecutors call a kickback.
Levine could testify in the trial as early as Tuesday.
