More college players transferring

Add two more players to the list of transfers. According to the Hartford Courant Darius Smith is leaving Connecticut. Jeff Jordan has decided to join Marcus Jordan at Central Florida, according to Jeff Goodman at Fox.

Anyone have any clue as to why so many area players are transferring colleges lately?

My best guess is lack of playing time.

Values in the wrong place.

Kids nowadays go to college to play basketball, instead of get an education.

Also, even though they are adults, their parents still play a key role. I'm sure that Jeff transferring was probably the father's idea. Instead of a parent saying "You are getting a great education from a great school (Illinois, Connecticut)", the parents are saying "If you don't like sitting on the bench, go to a different school where you can play"
As if playing basketball will be THE FUTURE of these youngsters...

THE JORDAN MOVE IS THE SAME AS TONY FREEMAN, HE PLAYED THREE YEARS AT IOWA AND TRANSFERRED TO SIU, JORDAN- THREE YEARS AT U OF I, AND NOW HE MAKES THE MOVE TO CENTRAL FLORIDA UNIVERSITY, HE NOW SITS OUT A YEAR AND THEN PLAYS HIS FIFTH SEASON, THE KICKER IS, THESE SCHOOL'S PAY THE FOURTH YEAR, EVEN THOUGH THE STUDENT-ATHLETE CAN'T PLAY UNTIL THE FIFTH YEAR!
DILLARD LEAVES SIU AND MOVES ON TO DAYTON!
SIMPSON LEAVES U OF I, A PLACE HE NEVER WAS GOING TO PLAY AT, AND GOES TO JOHN LOGAN JUCO!
ALEX LEGION STARTS AT KENTUCKY, THEN TRANSFERS TO U OF I, LEAVES, AND NOW IS AT FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY!
SOMEONE SHOULD HAVE A MAGAZINE, JUST TO KEEP UP WITH THE TRANSFERS ON THE COLLEGE LEVEL!
NOW THE BIG QUESTION IS, WILL MJ GIVE HIS BOY'S A ROSTER SPOT ON HIS TEAM IN CHARLOTTE? STAY TUNED!

How different is it from HS? The current culture of AAU/HS basketball does not seem to create allegiance, pride, or that rah-rah of old.

Right. I mean come on O'B, did you not see what happened to Darius this year at UConn? They had a down year for them, not great guards, and he barely played. Writing on the wall and rubber meet road and all of that.

Jeff Jordan is obviously going for the girls and weather.

ROME WAS NOT BUILT IN A DAY!
SO, DARIUS DIDN'T PLAY MUCH AS A FROSH, HE SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN MORE HUNGRY AND REALLY SHOWED THE COACHES HE WAS IN FOR THE LONG HAUL!
NOW HE ENDS UP AT A JUCO OR HE SITS NEXT SEASON!
CAN YOU SAY MINERAL-AREA JUNIOR COLLEGE!

JORDAN IS GOING TO WALK-ON AT CENTRAL FLORIDA!
