Illinois coach Bruce Weber offered Orr junior Mycheal Henry a scholarship on Friday night after Orr's loss to St. Joseph. Henry is expected to attend the Illinois-Wisconsin game on Sunday in Champaign. Henry also has an offer from Wisconsin.

The 6-5 forward averaged 27 points and eight rebounds this season.

THAT WASN'T A BIRD IN THE RICH SOUTH REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME, THAT WAS MACARI BROOKS FLYING ALL OVER THE PLACE DUNKING UP A STORM, THE JUNIOR HIT 26, AND TYRONE ALLEN HIT 25, THE STARS MOVE ON TO THE LINCOLN-WAY WEST SECTIONAL, THEY PLAY T.F. NORTH ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT!

Henry would be crazy to go to Illinois, "Bubble" Bruce Weber holds his players back and does not let them shine. Henry should let the recruiting game play out, once he gets on the AAU circuit in a month or two, he will have a lot better programs recruiting him from across the country.

Deron Williams, Dee Brown and Luther Head flourished under Weber. They may have been recruited by Self, but they were transformed under Weber. Look at what he's done with McCamey. He also took a 2 star Chester Frazier and turned him into a pro in Europe and a big ten defensive player of the year caliber player.

Ryan Christie,

Your schtick is old and pathetic. That is all.

ryanchristie, your agenda against Weber is ridiculous. For you, who claims to be an Illinois fan, to not want a player to come to Illinois shows your true colors. Find another team to root for. We don't need you.

Illinois would be a perfect spot for Henry. Weber is a perfect coach to raise his level of performance and get him to the NBA

illinihoopsnut, vendetta against Weber much? Why would an Illini fan want to hurt the program by encouraging players to not attend there?

Ryan (aka IlliniHoopNut) - I know you are passionate about college basketball. Unlike some Internet "gurus," I also know you actually spend time following high school b-ball scenes.

There are a plenty of people who don't like or respect Weber. At the same time, just as many, if not more, people do like and respect Weber for what he has done at Illinois. In short, there is nothing wrong with you taking a position on that issue.

But, you have lost all objectivity and frankly credibility with your never-ending personal vendetta and crusade against Weber and Price. So you were fired as an Internet message board moderator 4-5 years ago. You agitated a lot of paying members, and that is why you got fired, not because (as you believe) an assistant coach orchestrated the firing behind the scene.

Many people get fired for many different reasons every day. Deal with it - like an adult. For your sake, move on with your life, especially since you did not even attend Illinois and I am not even sure if you are an Illinois fan anymore.

I am not sure why you are doing this. I could tell you that your ongoing ad hominem attacks on Weber do not elevate your stature in any way.

Seriously, Ryan, take a deep breath and let it go.

An old friend.

I dont always agree with weber but lets not get carried away. The players still have to play the game and learn the game!

Hopefully Henry was paying attention at both Illinois games he attended in the past 8 days. The ship is sinking in Champaign, and Henry (and other good recruits) would be foolish to play for Weber...In fact, looks like Weber will even resort to Bobby Knight-style physical attacks on his players based on his push of McCamey today.

Mr. Henry would love Baylor. Beautiful campus, wonderful warm weather, and a great coach with a great team that is making huge noise and becoming a perennial national power along the same lines as the Baylor women's program. Come to Baylor Mr. Henry, leave the Midwest, you will not regret it.

Any one who leaves Illinois for school and attends Iowa, Wisconsin, Indiana, or plays for Self or Calipari is off in the noodle. I don't believe Weber pays for high schoolers, and is a good man. Pitino is a letch, and lord knows we don't need any more turncoats going to cheaters or lesser programs.

Well me personally knowning Mycheal thinks Mycheal is a great player and has great potentail with plenty room for growth.

Hey: You can never have too many good players. Especially scoring guards.

GO ILLINI!
