IT'S TO BAD T.F. NORTH DIDN'T GET AN OPPORTUNITY TO
PLAY IN THIS EVENT, THEY MAY HAVE THE BEST TEAM IN THE
SOUTH SUBURBS AND THAT INCLUDES HILLCREST, THEY HAVE
ALREADY DESTROYED H-F!
THEY ARE RANKED NUMBER 6, I BELIEVE IN YOUR CURRENT
POLL!
Off the topic...
your rankings do not make sense...
Simeon lost two games. The losses may have been to two very good teams, but two losses should at least move out of the top 5, yet their ranking stayed the same.
Meanwhile, Seton BEAT (won against) a very good team and stayed the same....
Are you suggesting in your rankings that the games this weekend meant nothing, win or loss, as long as it was close?
If Simeon loses their next game, nbut it is by 1 point, will they still be #4 because they played hard and showed how good they could be?
Rankings are supposed to be about results... not just potential (Otherwise the university of Notre Dame's football team would be ranked and they have yet to produce). Like UND, Simeon has a lot of potential, but has yeat to produce.
THEN... DeLaSalle, who also has a lot of potential, has played half their games against quality opponents AND WON, yet dropped from 5th to 9th?
There is no rationale for your rankings THIS WEEK Mr. O'Brien.

Contracts for events like this are signed sealed and finished long ago
There are members -- plural -- of the TF North team that were enrolled at other schools at the time this event was filled

Rankings are simply the opinion of who does them. They are not and never have been just about results.
Simeon lost to possibly the best team in the country in Kentucky in the last minute or two, After a day-long bus ride, they lost to Thornton in double overtime
Find me a poll that didn't have Glenbard West ahead of every area team except Maine South in football. And Glenbard West did not even make the state finals. There were six teams below them that played in Champaign.
Rankings are not just about wins and losses.
Is unbeaten Utah in the BCS championship? It's about how good a person or group of people think a team is,
Do you think Whitney Young girls should drop from No. 1 because they lost in overtime in Indiana?
Do you really think that any undefeated team would beat them?
I don't and they are not my rankings
Yes, Seton beat a very good Curie team, but that doesn't mean that Simeon doesn't belong where they are currently ranked, or Seton
THANKS STEVE FOR THE UPDATE!
T.F. NORTH AS YOU KNOW ARE THE REAL DEAL, MADE A
BELIEVER OUT OF ME, WHEN DO THEY PLAY HILLCREST?
SHOULD BE A REALLY GOOD GAME!
