Curie gets on the board late when Tevin Buchanan scored on a 10-yard run to cap a 12-play drive with 24 seconds to play as Mount Carmel stormed to a 49-7 victory in its opener at Soldier Field

NIU recruit and returning QB Jordan Lynch scored twice, first on a 16-yard run and then from four yards out after snap was long and Mount Carmel recovered deep in Condors territory

Northwestern recruit Anthony Battle recovered a fumble just outside the Curie 20 that led to Lynch's third TD of the first quarter from seven yards out with 4:44 to play in the first quarter

A Lynch touchdown pass makes it 28-0 with 1:52 to go in the first quarter

A blocked punt was scooped up by Tyrone Glover resulted in another touchdown and a 35-0 lead with 10 seconds to play in the first quarter

Curie got inside the Caravan 10 late in the half, but came up short on a fourth down pass
