Got a chance to speak to Northwestern's new women's basketball Sunday night. He has an early morning flight to Chicago and an early afternoon press conference.
He said the papers were signed Sunday.

Chicago Sky shooting guard Cathy Joens, one of McKeon's best players at GW, is expected to attend the announcement,

McKeon said that he received more than 200 calls over the weekend, most from GW boosters.

McKeon, who recently turned 52, was the winningest coach of all time in GW and Atlantic 10 women’s basketball.
The Atlantic 10 also lost another marquee coach when Dawn Staley left Temple for South Carolina

McKeown was the 34th head coach in Division I to pass the 500-victory mark during the past season and he finished the 2007-08 campaign with 509 career victories.

McKeown compiled a 441-154 record as head coach of the Colonials. He guided them to the regional finals in 1997, the round of 16 in 1995, 2007 and 2008 and the second round on nine occasions.
