Simmons will be a Buckeye

Former Von Steuben guard Jeremie Simmons, currently at Mott Community College in Flint, Michigan, made a verbal commitment Sunday night to play for and attend The Ohio State University according to Von Steuben coach Vince Carter

Riverside-Brookfield lineup announced

One of the summer's top high school team events, the Riverside-Brookfield Shootout, is scheduled for May 31-June 1st, the spectacular lineup was announced last week.

R-B, Morton, Evanston, St. Joseph, Lincoln-Way East, Seneca, York, Hinsdale South, Neuqua Valley, Ridgewood, St. Ignatius, Wheaton North, Bloom, Mount Carmel, Rich Central, Lyons, Hillcrest, De La Salle, Decatur Eisenhower, Glenbard East, Richards, Deerfield, Provisoe East and Thornton are all scheduled to compete.

Matt Maloney slated to replace Al Allen at Oak Park

According to Oak Park athletic director John Stelzer, Matt Maloney has been recommended for approval to the Board of Education. He's expected to be approved at the April board meeting.

Maloney has previously served as a baseball coach and the sophomore basketball coach at Oak Park.
