Just saying ...

As the girls state playoffs get going. it seems curious that no one seems to be talking about Fenwick.

Not only are the Friars the reigning Class AA state champion, though four starters from that team graduated, but the Fenwick resume is pretty impressive.

Fenwick won its Thanksgiving tournament, which included GCAC tournament champion Resurrection and Mid-Suburban champion Wheeling

Fenwick won the Dundee-Crown tournament beating then unbeaten and national ranked Buffalo Grove in the title game

Fenwick won the Sweet 16 tournament handing Hinsdale Central its only loss of the season. The Friars also beat Schaumburg, which played for the MSL title

Fenwick won the East Suburban Catholic knocking off Marist and Marian Catholic. both were ranked all season

And while Fenwick didn't travel coast-to-coast, I believe they are the only are team to play three games this season against teams ranked in USA Today's top 25 in the nation at the time of the games

A personal condolence to Fenwick coach Dave Power on the loss of his father Al, who passed away on Tuesday on the East Coast.
Since the early days coaching, your dad was always one of your biggest boosters.
I'm sure he was never more proud than when your 2007 team, that included his granddaughter Erin won a state championship.
