Possibilities, and not predictions

It isn't exactly bracketology, but a quick look at the Class 8A "North" bracket gives some food for thought

Lane Tech, which hosts Palatine to open the Class 8A playoffs could be one of the most important games the first weekend, especially for Mount Carmel and Maine South

If Maine South and Glenbrook South win their playoff openers this weekend, they would face off in the second round in Glenview.

The Caravan opens against Leyden and the winner will play the Lane-Palatine winner.
If Lane and Mount Carmel win, Mount Carmel hosts round 2
If Palatine and Mount Carmel win, the Caravan will be on the road for round 2.

Not to get ahead of things, but if there is a Mount Carmel-Maine South quarterfinal, a Palatine win this week would likely send the game to the turf Gately Stadium
A Lane win would put a Mount Carmel-Maine South quarterfinal in Park Ridge.

One friend said THAT home field advantage could be worth two touchdowns
